Disclosure of all income for legislators, prohibition of legislators doing business with the state, disclosure of assets and income by lobbyists and limiting their spending to $50 per legislator on any meal all highlighted the practice of transparency. Jindal also led the legislature to make substantial tax changes to improve the state’s economy.
